I have quite a few hobbies. I have placed some information in the Rock and Mineral section on one of my chief hobbies. Another hobby is languages. I read/write and speak Russian, I can understand several other Slavic languages and I can understand some French, Spanish, Italian, and German. I collect books and have a large collection of foreign science fiction novels. I also have some fairly old books. I especially like the early bound magazines. I have placed a copy of a page out of one of those on this site. I also run a metal detector sometimes, although not as often as I would like. Finally, I am a history buff and I have an interesting collection of early American history books. Not much American history in the 1830's. I'll try to put some info here on the Web eventually.
